Sounds Lively! is an Acapella singing group - no auditions necessary.
We sing folk music from all over the world in 3 part harmony.
We meet on Wednesdays, Term Time, from 10.30 till 12.30 at the Scout Hall, Woodbine Close, off of St John's Hill, Newport, Isle of Wight.
Plenty of FREE PARKING next to the hall!

I come out of my singing session lead by Isobel feeling cheerful . I have belonged to Sounds Lively for over ten years but since Isobel took over I have learnt a lot about musical notation. Isobel is exacting. She persists until the song is “right” but certainly not in a pushy way.
I really enjoy her choice of songs which are somewhat different from the usual musical and popular songs. It makes our choir different.
I enjoy my two hours there a great deal.

I love to sing and Sounds Lively is the perfect choir to enjoy group singing. I don't read music so learning by ear is wonderfully stress free. Isabel is a perfect teacher, being technically excellent yet encouraging our natural voices to flow. We sing a variety of songs, folk Songs, harmony pieces and rounds. We are a friendly group and I always look forward to our weekly sessions.
